The labor union representing Montgomery County’s police force, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35, announced its support of Democrat Will Jawando’s campaign for Montgomery County Council At-Large.

Will Jawando, Democrat for County Council, filed a campaign finance report Tuesday showing an additional 300 contributions totaling more than $25,000 to his campaign — making him eligible to drawn more than $70,000 in additional matching funds from the county’s Public Election Fund.
With this campaign finance report, Jawando is expected to bring the total match to more than $166,000 to date in this campaign. That includes more than 260 new in-county donations, bringing the total number of unique donations from Montgomery County residents to nearly 650. At-large county council candidates can pull down up to $250,000 in matching funds.Read More

UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO, a union representing 7,000 county government workers endorsed Democrat Will Jawando in his race for Montgomery County Council At-Large.
